condemnation

the mirror hurts this morning

cause yesterday’s shame

shadows

today’s face.

each freckle and wrinkle and hair

reminds me of the fault

i am.

the failure i wear.

but i woke up to a whited world.

yesterday’s shadows are gone,

hidden

beneath the heaven-sent.

could it be true for my heart?

could you send a cleansing

cover

to hide my dirt?

there is now no condemnation

you said,

remember?
