look outside.
the answer is singing in your face.
resurrection surrounds us.
the daffodils sing it.
in blatant mockery of winter,
laughing in gold.
buds riddle the bending branch.
they are keepers of their promise.
faith made sight.
Jesus, too blooms in defiance.
an incarnation of the season,
flowering in promise.
“come and see,” is the invite,
welcoming us into his own new life,
into our own blooming.
peace has budded
and flowered from the very dust
he cursed.
go and live your resurrection
defy the fall. embrace the risen life.
bloom like Jesus and daffodils.
I really enjoyed your Holy Week poems! I hope you all had a very happy Easter!
